Bruce Springsteen, born September 23, 1949 in Freehold, New Jersey, USA, is an American singer. He is singer, guitarist
and songwriter. He also called The Boss.



Springsteen has released 25 albums that sold over 115 million copies and most have been critically acclaimed with a few
exceptions in the early 1990s. He has during his tours for the most part played with the now legendary band E Street
Band but he has also toured alone and with other musicians. His lyrics include his own upbringing in New Jersey but also
on the U.S. working class and deprived people in society. The songs have a large variation between happy rock songs and
melancholy and depressed ballads. Among his awards are an Oscar and Polar Prize (1997).
