Asian Dub Foundation - Community Music (2000) [FLAC + cover] [ :: Info sul disco :: ] Pubblicato nel 2000, Community Music è il penultimo disco della formazione completa degli Asian Dub Foundation (Master D, Chandrasonic, Pandit G, Sun J, Dr.Das), e racchiude in se tutta l'essenza del gruppo e l'esperienza dei lavori precedenti; mescola potenti basslines al suono del sitar, percussioni etniche a ritmi jungle, testi rap su temi scottanti cari come non mai alla seconda generazione di immigrati indiani in Inghilterra. In "Real Great Britain", "Officer XX", "New Way, New Life" e altre tracce si riconosce lo spirito ribelle originale dei primi dischi, i temi dell'antirazzismo e del rifiuto della censura, le sonorità asiatiche della tabla e del dhol (soprattutto nella splendida "Taa Deem", omaggio a Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan"), mentre in "Collective Mode", "Colour Line" gli stessi temi vengono trattati in maniera più matura, anche per quel che riguarda le musiche. Un disco che ha saputo strappare un 4.5/5 su allmusic, e un bel 8.7/10 su PitchFork, ma da avere anche senza dover tirare in ballo il giudizio della critica. [ :: Tracklist :: ] 01.
